Attention All Catalyx Users
Our team at CatalX is committed to ensuring that the crypto assets offered on our platform are from the highest quality Blockchain projects and are also only offered in compliance with relevant Canadian securities laws. As part of our commitment to these principals, we have been working hard over the last several months to establish rigorous policies to review and vet all crypto assets offered on our platform.
As a result of recent guidance from Canadian securities regulators aimed at improving consumer protection on crypto asset trading platforms in Canada, we will be accelerating the above review and vetting process for all crypto assets currently offered on our platform.
Catalyx has completed the review of the following crypto assets and has determined that these assets meet our listing requirements:
Aave Token (AAVE)
Basic Attention Token (BAT)
Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
Ethereum Classic (ETC)
Golem Network Token (GLM)
Stellar Lumen (XLM)
USD Coin (USDC)
Our staff are currently working hard to review the remaining crypto assets that we currently offer for trading on our platform in accordance with our established procedures and will be providing periodic updates on this work to all our users as we progress.
Temporary De-Listing of Certain Assets:
In order to provide time to adequately review the remaining crypto assets currently listed on our platform and to ensure that the Catalyx platform remains in compliance with relevant securities laws, Catalyx plans to temporarily suspend transferring (deposits only) and trading activities (buying only), for all crypto assets not included in the list above. A full list of the assets for which this suspension will apply is located in the chart below, (these assets are referred to below as Suspended Assets).
Summary of suspension process:
· The suspension process will begin on March 20th, 2023.
· After March 20th, 2023 users on the Catalyx platform will not be able to place orders to buy or transfer to the platform any Suspended Assets.
· After March 20th, 2023, until we advise otherwise, users will still be able to sell Suspended Assets through the platform and will also be able to transfer Suspended Assets off the platform to their private wallets or to another Blockchain address.
Catalyx staff will continue to review the Suspended Assets over the next short while and will provide additional notices to users when any asset is either reactivated for trading or removed from the platform completely. If we determined that an asset should be removed from the platform completely, we will provide you as much notice as we can and will provide further guidance on how to ensure that you are able to retain ownership of those assets or liquidate those assets in accordance with your preferences.
